Lady Pattern Paper Project Life Layout

On the 7th May we had a lovely scrapping day featuring the beautiful Lady Pattern Paper papers. And what better way to celebrate such a special day than to create a project life style layout, adding as much photos onto a page as I possibly can or want to, and of course featuring some gorgeous Lady Pattern Paper papers.

To create some cards for my pockets I used Lady Pattern Paper and added some sentiments to the paper to make my own Project Life style cards with a handmade twist of course.
I love the simplicity of project life – it enables me to add lots of photos, capturing a special event with creative details, and I can add my own spin to it just the way I like it. And best of all I can use my Lady Pattern Paper papers to add those creative elements – everything I love all in one.

Stamped card | Flower details with POP Paint.

Once you get into the groove of living a creative life, it is amazing how easily you find your products
from various crafts, can work for all kinds of applications. Today I am using POP Paint to create some beautiful stamped flowers on a card.
The orange/red colour of the Flamingo POP paint matched perfectly with the colour of my tag making for a beautifully designed card.
step 1 Stamp various flowers from the Clear Stamp – Daisies (ER-C10) rs3174
stamp set in grey ink onto white cardstock.
step 2 Colour some scrap pieces of white cardstock by using a paint palette to add a layer of paint to the paper.
step 3 Once the paint is dry, stamped some more smaller flowers onto the paint using the same grey ink. Let the ink dry for a few minutes.
Cut out the flowers around the edges and shape them slightly.
step 4 Colour another piece of cardstock with Zest paint and leave to dry.
Once dry, cut out small circles for the centres of your flowers. I cut mine freehand but you can also use a circle punch.
step 5 – Gather all your parts together. Some painted flowers and some plain flowers, and then layer them on top of each other. Adhere the flowers together to form a single flower unit.

Assemble your card with all your pieces. Add a coloured tag, sentiment card, your layered flower and some rub-ons to the folded card and then finish off with some diamante and other dimensional elements.
A beautiful simplistic card with a beautiful focal point flower created using furniture paint. Simply gorgeous!

POP Paint | Painted Layout background.

Creating painted backgrounds on your layouts is so easy with the small jars of POP Paint – the perfect quantity for those looking for a creative medium but not ready to commit to large amounts of paint. Today I am using the paint over texture paste on a layout background with stunning results.
I used the beautiful “zest” colour combined with a vibrant pink for a stunning effect.
step 1 – Add texture paste through a stencil on your background.
Select your POP Paint colour that you want to use as the background.
step 2 – Die-cut some shapes out of white cardstock and paint them in a second colour of POP Paint.
I used Flamingo for my elements.
step 3 – You can see the texture peeking through the Zest paint. Then add a layer of pink acrylic paint over the Zest paint for a lovely contrast.
Decorate the layout with matching stickers and embellishments.
I used the barrel in my photo as inspiration for my colour selection – pink and yellow.
I love how easy it is to add colour and texture to my layouts and craft projects using POP Paint.
The colours are amazing and with the small jar sizes are perfect for layouts and cards.

Farmyard birthday invitation – setting the scene

Setting the scene for a special birthday celebration always begins with a special invitation. And what better way to create an invitation than using the fabulous Silhouette machine.
I used the beautiful barn image cut on my silhouette and then turned it into an invitation simply by adding some wording inside.

step 1 - Insert the image into the silhouette software. Drag the image the size you want it to be.

step 2 - Cut the barn image out of AC smooth cardstock. I cut the same image three times in three different colours.
step 3 - Print the wording onto white typing paper first to determine the correct size. Then print the wording onto some patterned paper from the Kaisercraft Old Mac paper range.

step 4 - Use the door frame from the cut outs to cut the wording to the correct shape and size.

step 5 - Assemble the invitation with the wording inside. To finish off the outside stamp some grain images using gold Brilliance ink.

Add some decorative brads to mimic door handles. And then wrap the invitation with grass platted twine and add a name tag for the recipient of the invitation.
A farmyard birthday will not be anything special with some added elements using your crafting stash. A few added details add to the supporting theme.

I found these little seedling cups in a store and the colouring worked perfectly to support the theme. A few little identifying tags on toothpicks help identify what’s inside each cup.

Stamp the farm fresh image onto patterned paper and cut it out around the edges. Then add it to the food cups as a decorative element.

A recycled dogfood tin is wrapped in twine creating a beautiful container for straws and cutlery. A few decorative elements cut from the Old Mac paper range adhered to the front of the tin with foam tape makes for a striking supporting theme.
And these are just a few elements of how you can use your crafting goodies to create a beautiful themed celebration for a special boy.
